Arts and Culture

This page is dedicated to Arts and Culture. As an avid museum visitor and lover of art I’ll be sharing upcoming exhibitions, and stunning works of art you just must-see in person. From the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to the Holburne in Bath, I’ve been to them all and loved every moment of it.

For just one city Bath holds a whole host of galleries, ever-changing exhibitions and museums documenting both objects and time periods, side-by-side. I have made it my mission to visit them all and their latest exhibitions to give you the latest on what’s to see and do in Bath. Instead of spending hours researching where to go or what place will offer the most culture for your coins, you can cast your gaze here. I’ve done the grunt work for you, so set off and get your culture on!

Bath in Bloom| Its Parks and Where to Find Them

If Bath is on your travelling list in 2021, one part of this beautiful city that doesn’t feel the spotlight as much as its other tourist destinations, are its gardens and parks! Five wonderful green spaces I have loved and visited many a time, are the Botanical Garden, Victoria Park, Henrietta Park, the Parade Gardens and Sydney Gardens. Each is situated in a different part of the city, so wherever you find yourself, you will always have a place to take your picnic, sit and enjoy the sunshine, or take the children to play on the swings. The Botanical Gardens…

Great Places to Stop While Exploring the Countryside Around Bath

While I can only personally recommend the pubs and farm shops of the South West, I find they are rather wonderful pit-stops while traveling the countryside. I discovered some of my favourites while jaunting about local beauty spots. Finding such a space is always something to look forward to, as well as supporting a local farm shop or pub. All the places mentioned use local farmers and Bath businesses to supply their food and drinks. – The George Inn, Norton St. Philip – A pub full of history and even a few ghosts if the legend is to be believed.…
