The Holburne Museum-The Tudors: Passion, Power & Politics

From some of the best galleries in the world comes a collection of truly powerful Tudor portraits, from the flaming haired queen to her lion of a father, even centuries away we can see the hold the Tudors had on their people and even their enemies.

In The Meanwhile-Light Trail at Milsom Place

In The Meanwhile is an imaginative project organised by Bath Spa University and Little Lost Robot Studio working with B&NES Council. After the pandemic many shop fronts were left empty and so from this came the idea to temporarily fill these spaces with local art and creative talent from the community until the shops return.

Fashion Museum Bath- Shoephoria!

May 18th 2021 – 24th April 2022

Museum opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am-5 pm. Last entry 4 pm.

This is an exhibition designed to make any shopaholic or shoe hoarder squeak with joy, it certainly made me! Historians, fashion or exhibition enthusiasts and shopper’s alike will enjoy perusing the exhibition.

The Assembly Rooms- Bath Bach Fest

For all the classical music aficionados, Bath Assembly Rooms will be hosting a series of concerts honouring J S Bach and his Baroque contemporaries. It will also be live-streamed for those who cannot make the concerts.

BRLSI talk-Bath and the campaign for Woman’s Rights

When we think of the fight for women’s rights, Bath as a city doesn’t come into our mind’s eye as much as London for example, however, Bath did play a considerable part in this world-changing fight for freedom.

During this enlightening talk, we’ll hear how the suffrage and anti-suffrage campaigning took place in Bath during the years 1866-1914 in the form of the local newspaper, the Bath Chronicle, and the diaries left to us by suffragette Mary Blathwayt.
